Toshiba is committed to the “Industry Voluntary Agreement on Imaging Equipment”. The purpose of the Voluntary Agreement is to contribute to the achievement of the EU Action Plan on Energy Efficiency. The Voluntary Agreement enables customers to make more sustainable purchasing decisions by providing more accurate information on the environmental performance of our products.
Toner Yield
Information on the toner yield on all our products can be found below. You can select two different files, one showing the toner yield sorted by the applicable models and one sorted by the related toner itself.
Information on product environmental characteristics
Environmental Datasheets as well as so-called “TED – The Eco Declaration” (ECMA370 Standard) on our products can be found for each individual model in the download area for environmental documents.
These Datasheets give a comprehensive overview on the environmental performance of our products.
End-of-life management of used cartridges
In general, such waste shall be treated according to legal requirements in your country. In some European countries, Toshiba or its partners have established dedicated take-back programmes, therefore we recommend to first contact your Toshiba Partner from whom you purchased the toner.
You also may ask your local authority or competent service providers (e.g. waste recycling companies) for support and advice on a suitable and environmental friendly way to dispose of the empty cartridge in your country.
Energy consumption
The amount of electricity a system consumes depends as much on its properties as it does on the way you use it.
Our systems are designed to allow you to reduce electricity consumption by switching to “Ready mode” after the last page has been printed. If required, it can immediately print again from this mode. If no additional prints are required, and after a certain period of time, the device switches to energy-save mode. With this power management our systems consume less power (watt). If the system now has to print again, it needs a little longer to return from an energy-save mode than from the Ready mode. For maximum energy savings we advise the default values for power management should be used.
Recycled paper
Modern recycled paper meets the highest quality requirements for different printing processes - appropriate standards guarantee this. The imaging equipment supplied by the VA signatories is suitable for usage with recycled paper meeting the EN 12281:2002 or a similar quality standard. In addition, it can support printing on paper down to a weight of 64 g/m2 - and lighter paper means less raw materials and represents a resource saving.
Benefit of recycled paper:
Duplex printing (if applicable)
Duplex printing enables both sides of a sheet of paper to be used, and therefore helps to reduce the use of valuable resource’s by reducing your paper consumption.
We recommend that this feature is enabled when you print.
More information and details on the Voluntary Agreement on Imaging Equipment can be found on the EuroVAprint website.
